What a great website. It brought back a lot of good memories. I rode Puffer on 2 WESTPACS and loved them both--you always remember the good times.
Puffer was the first and only boat that I rode, but it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Submariners are special people.
I retired from the Navy in 1996 after 25 great years. My wife Kathie (Mrs. Doc)and 11 y.o daughter Katelyn and I now live in Northern Virgina. I'm working for the American Red Cross at the National Headquarters in DC. If your ever in the area drop by and I'll by you a cup of coffee . . .or a cold one. Bob Beauchamp, LT, MSC, USN (Ret)

Kursk. I'm praying for our fellow submariners aboard Kursk. Hope some are still alive and
can tell what happened.

Comments: Great Page, Out of the navy now. Still technically in the reserves but I never found time to drill. After leaving Puffer I worked a few years at CSDG-1 on the hill in San Diego. Left the navy in 1994, moved across country, and took a job with TRW as a Belway Bandit. I married 11/94. My wife and I are now back in San Diego. I'm in the telecom industry working for Alcatel. I keep in touch with some of the wardroom. Lorin Selby (now LCDR) is teaching at Annapolis. He he is now married and has a new baby boy. Jim Kresge (now LCDR) is living in Va and working somewhere in DC. Kerry Ingalls (now CDR) is in SC running a floating prototype. Soon to move on to a CO job.
Bye for now. Gene
