Comments: Just recently learned of this website. The PUFFER sure brings back many fond memories.Served onboard as ET1(non-nuke)Oct.70-Apr.74.Made first "training cruise" & 2 WESTPACS. Returned in Jun.78 as ETCS, later becoming COB, relieving JOE ADA. Made another WESTPAC. Served a total of 6yrs-5mos on PUFFER. Can anybody beat this time onboard? It was good to see familiar names & faces on the web. I retired in Sep.88 from SG5 in San Diego as ETCM(SS). Have lived in Las Vegas,NV ever since. Would like to hear from my old shipmates, drop me a line some time. PUFFER FOREVER

Comments: Aloha, still home at Papa Hotel? Great to see the boat again, did one WestPac then busted big time. Young and foolish then. People quite surprised how well I do on Clancy SSN. Check old ship logs for day john lennon died. I was topside watch when announced, then did 1MC announcement Kind of sailor I was.

Comments: Great page, if anybody remembers I'm the obnoxious, wise ass ET that always used to give MS2 bolden crap about the food. I still keep in touch with RM2/SS Randy Ellison who is here in San Diego. I am still in the Navy, Surprise!! I am now a LTJG and the Navigator on USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) stationed here in San Diego. I gained my commission throught the first Seaman to Admiral class. Great seeing some of the names on this page. Also nice to see we got a MUC for the first Ice Run, i've been trying to find out about that for 7 years.

Comments: Hi all. I was surprised to find this page :) My dad who works in Colorado happened to talk to someone who was on the Puffer in 73' and he let my dad know about this page and the upcoming reunion. As I browse around and see names and faces I remember from my time on board it seems I can mostly remember the good times and people (when I know while I was on board I thoght I'd only remember the bad ;) but I'm sure you know what I mean. I'm sure I'll be back often. Hi to everyone I served with... Is that Chuck Scroggins picture I saw? :) Later
